These dogs take their owners to work, every day!
Recently, I put a notice in our newspapers asking folks if they were going to take their dogs to work on Take Your Dog to Work Day, June 25. Not a one called me, but happily, I got several calls and emails from people whose dogs are a permanent fixture in their workplaces.

Bring your pup and enjoy activities at Animal Razzle Saturday
Pet lovers will find plenty of fun at the Animal Razzle at Tim's Toyota Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The free daytime events are a prelude to the Zoo Dazzle fundraiser for the Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary in the evening.

We can all learn from others' bad experiences
The nice thing about experience is that we don’t necessarily have to personalize it. We can learn from others’ experiences as well, especially the bad ones. One of those “bad ones” happened this past week in Texas, when a man and his wife, who were headed for a national specialty dog show in Flagstaff, nearly lost the seven dogs they were traveling with.
