Officer bikes for Special Olympics

Prescott Valley police officer Jason Lohman spent last Saturday morning riding his bicycle to ensure cross country runners at the Bradshaw Mountain Invitational stayed on course. Lohman led runners down the newly-charted course in seven races, beginning at 9 a.m. with a 1.5-mile race for fifth and sixth graders and ending at noon with the 3.1-mile high school varsity girls' race.

That added up to nearly 17 miles of hills, rocks and dust, much of it into a stiff wind.
