Student artists depict selves before, after breakfast

This past spring, students in the Humboldt Unified School District entered a drawing contest to portray what they feel like before and after eating a healthy school breakfast. The HUSD Food and Nutrition department selected 10 winners from each K-8 grade level and presented each with a certificate of achievement at the April 28 HUSD governing board meeting.

Winners are:

Pre-K, Bright Futures Preschool - Nevaeh Williams.

Kindergarten, Granville Elementary School - Jaylah Trinoco.

First grade, Liberty Traditional School - Ethan Gurtner.

Second grade, Mountain View Elementary School - Evelyn Chaparro.

Third grade, Mountain View Elementary School - Isaiah Fosnough.

Fourth grade, Mountain View Elementary School - Jocelyn Gonzalez.

Fifth grade, Humboldt Elementary School - Hannah Lennon.

Sixth grade, Mountain View Elementary School - Tessa Rivera.

Seventh grade, Glassford Hill Middle School - Alicia Tapia.

Eighth grade, Bradshaw Mountain Middle School - Jacob Harding.
